In this edition of "An Early Review Of," we delve into the decklists and statistics surrounding Marvel SNAP's latest card, Arishem, in order to gain valuable insights into its performance within the Meta!
Today, we’ll be analyzing Arishem, the latest Series 5 introduced during the Celestial’s Finest Season that is available in this week’s Spotlight Cache and in the Token Shop for 6,000 Collector Tokens. The important question is – is Arishem a must-buy? Let’s crunch the numbers.

We’ll be ranking Arishem based on the following set of parameters:
  • We’ll be looking at Arishems’s performance at Infinite and above, including a special mention of the Top 10% of the Infinite Rank to get a solid idea of how it performs.
  • We’ll be considering Arishems’s overall win percentage in these ranks, but also its average cubes and popularity.
  • Finally, we will also take a quick look at how the archetype the card best fits performs in the current meta.
Our Tier List rankings are based on the Average Cubes and Popularity of a card when compared to all other cards in Marvel SNAP.

THE RAW DATA

Arishem has a +0.20 average cube rate from Ranks 70-99 which is remarkable. It sneaks down a bit to +0.11 inside of the Top 50% Infinite Rank.
We see the same trend when studying Arishem’s winrate, managing roughly 54% across both categories too. This being said, the most impressive stat is its shocking popularity. It seems that every Marvel SNAP player and their pets have put their hands into Arishem, if we study the Meta since its release 24 hours ago, the card is present in 50% of decks in from Ranks 70-99, climbing up to an astonishing 75% popularity in Top 10% Infinite.
Arishem’s card release can only be compared to High Evolutionary, which caused a revolution in Marvel SNAP’s Meta. These popularity metrics show that regardless of how good a card is, if it has a unique effect, players will dive into it, and that’s what we are seeing. The meta is still shifting with tons of experimentations with Arishem as the core center piece, to the point of becoming its own archetype. Arishem is probably the most Meta Defining card for Marvel SNAP in 2024.
Remember that these stats will evolve over time, and this is “An Early Review Of”, so make sure you revisit the card stats and our Card Tier List once the dust settles to see where Arishem lands in terms of power level and what happens with its popularity once builds are figured out.

ARISHEM’S BEST DECKS (SO FAR)

With over 65,000 games already played at Infinite Rank with the Untapped.gg Companion since the Arishem’s release, we’ve got a great selection of decks to choose from if you’re looking to find a home for your freshly opened copy. Let’s take a look at some of the best-performing options:

The standout amongst the thousands of games played at the top of the Infinite Rank is the Arishem plus Loki combo. The deck often plays cards like Quinjet, Agent Coluson and Nick Fury which have great synergy with both Arishem and Loki. Additionally, given that the card represents nearly 75% of Marvel SNAP Meta right now, even Arishem decks are running Darkhawk to rip the benefits of the extra cards in opponents decks.
Something similar happens in the second deck featured, that runs Enchantress and Mobius M. Mobius as tech cards for the mirror. Don’t worry if you are missing any of the cards listed, you can always find a deck tailored to your collection on our Marvel SNAP decks page.
We also need to take a step back and not only analyze Arishems’s power level, but the archetype the cards lives in. To be honest, Arishem’s popularity is so high that we might need to take many steps back and wait for the meta to develop a bit more to see the full picture since the data for the last 24 hours shows such a concentration around Arishem that we are still gathering information of how other archetypes perform.

Final Thoughts

Is Arishem worth your Keys or Tokens? Well the answer is a straightforward YES! As we’ve mentioned at the beginning of this Early Review, the analysis revolves around two dimensions, Arishem’s power level and its popularity in the current Marvel SNAP meta.
Raw data says that Arishem is the most predominant force in the multiverse, and its shaping Marvel SNAP’s metagame around it. We are still waiting to discover its optimal deck, and what archeytpes can counter it effectively, but the card provides such a refreshing game experience that everyone is diving into it. The only caveat we’d like to mention is that the two cards Arishem is paired with in the Spotlight Caches -Black Swan and Hercules- are really outcasts in the game, so if you can spend Tokens on it to avoid that risk, it might be worth it.

But what do you think? How long will Arishem dominate the Multiverse? Will Gwenpool, the new season card coming up next week, be able to resist against this wave of new Arishem decks?
