Welcome to another installment of “On The Spot”, the series where we review the cards available in this week’s Spotlight Cache.
Today we’ll be breaking down the stats, synergies, and decks with Hercules, a Series 4 card that is available in Spotlight Caches right now alongside Marvel SNAP’s newest card, Arishem, and Black Swan.
So, is Hercules worthy of your Spotlight Keys? Let’s find out.

We’ll be ranking Hercules based on the following set of parameters:
  • We’ll be looking at Hercules’s performance in Infinite ranks, including a special mention of the Top 50% of the Infinite Rank to get a solid idea of how it performs.
  • We’ll be considering Hercules’s overall win percentage in these ranks, but also its average cubes and popularity.
  • Finally, we will also take a quick look at how the archetype the card best fits performs in the current meta.

Who Is Hercules?

Embodied with godly might and mortal heart, Hercules, the lion-hearted demigod, battles the cosmos' challenges. His odyssey through myth and modernity paints a tapestry of courage, camaraderie, and the enduring struggle to balance divine strength with human vulnerability.
In Marvel SNAP, Hercules costs 3 energy, has 4 power and the effect: "The first time another card moves here each turn, move it to another location.” As a Series 4 card, Hercules can be purchased for 3k Collector’s Tokens from the Token Shop if you ultimately decide to not use your Spotlight Keys this week.

The Stats

Hercules is currently in Tier C with a -021 average cube rate and 44.0% winrate in Infinite ranks, which is quite weak. It sneaks up slightly to a (still bad) -0.15 average cube rate inside of the Top 50% of Infinite.
Looking at other cards that are frequently played with Hercules that have a similar popularity—currently being played in just 1.5% of decks—we see that it stacks up poorly against the likes of Vulture’s 45.9% winrate or Doctor Strange’s 45.6% winrate.
For now, Hercules is sitting with similar statistics to sparsely played cards like Aero, Bucky Barnes, and Howard the Duck, which indicates that it’s a fringe card that does not have a place a impactful place in the meta.
Remember that these stats may change over time, so make sure you revisit the card stats in our Card Tier List to see where Hercules lands in terms of power level and popularity.

Best Decks With Hercules

Looking at over 370k games played at Infinite ranks with the Untapped.gg Companion in the last 7 days, we’ve got a great selection of decks to choose from if you’re looking to find a home for your freshly opened Hercules. Let’s take a look at some of the best-performing options:

The standout deck is Move, which as an archetype that is bring played so rarely nowadays in Infinite ranks (thanks to the rise of Arishem decks) that it doesn’t even rank in our Tier List. The deck often plays cards like Vulture, Human Torch, and Dagger which all have great synergy with Hercules. Don’t worry if you are missing any of these cards though, you can always find a deck tailored to your collection on our Marvel SNAP decks page.

Final Thoughts

So, is Hercules worth your Keys or Tokens? As we’ve mentioned at the beginning of this article, the analysis revolves around two dimensions, Hercules’s power level and how strong its decks are in the current Marvel SNAP meta.
The short answer (for now) is, no. Raw data indicates that Hercules has not been strong enough to make a any meaningful impact on the meta. Hercules seems to fit mostly in Move decks, which have not been competitive for a while. If that’s a style of play you like, then by all means get yourself a Hercules! Just don’t expect to be crushing the meta with it anytime soon.
