We’ll be ranking Wiccan based on the following set of parameters:
  • We’ll be looking at Wiccan’s performance at Rank 70 and above
  • We’ll be considering Wiccan’s overall win percentage in these ranks, but also its average cubes and popularity
  • Finally, we'll be taking a quick look at which archetypes the card best fits in and how it performs in the current meta
Our Tier List rankings are based on the Average Cubes and Popularity of a card when compared to all other cards in Marvel SNAP.

The Raw Data

Wiccan has a +0.05 average cube rate at Rank 70 and above which isn't anything to write home about. The card's winrate is even less impressive, coming in at a meager 48.8%. These metrics place the card within Tier C on our Tier List rankings. These numbers may be expected of a card with such a hefty build around requirement, but that hasn't stopped 2.1% of players from experimenting with Wiccan. For now, we're looking to see if it manages to get closer to the modest 50.1% winrate of Electro or the impressive 54.8% winrate of Hope Summers to see how Wiccan holds up to other ramp options.
For now, Wiccan is sitting with similar numbers to Sauron, a card with similar build around requirements and restrictions, but with a higher winrate. Wiccan's extra steps may be too much for it to ever be meta defining.
These stats will evolve over time and this is early review consists of 24 hours of data, so be sure to revisit the card stats and our Card Tier List once the dust settles to see where Wiccan lands in terms of power level and popularity.

Wiccan’s Best Decks

With thousands of games already played at Rank 70 and above using the Untapped.gg Companion since Wiccan’s release, there are a variety decks to choose from experimentation continues. Here are the best-performing options:

The standout amongst these decks seems to be a Collector-based Loki deck using a low to the ground curve to guarantee a Turn 1 and Turn 2 play before Wiccan can be played, using Loki as an emergency out for bad draws. The deck often plays cards like Quinjet, Angela and Agent Coulson, which help curve out frequently enough for Wiccan. Don’t worry if you are missing any of the cards listed, you can always find a deck tailored to your collection on our Marvel SNAP decks page.
Alternatively, High Evolutionary is a deck that thrives on extra energy. Cards like Sunspot, Cyclops and Hulk all capitalize on the unused energy you'll have left over after Wiccan's ability is activated. Foregoing the turn skips you usually aim for with High Evo to play cards like Domino, you ensure Wiccan is able to proc and the +2 Max Energy helps recoup Sunspot, Misty Knight and Cyclops procs.
We also need to take a step back and not only analyze Wiccan’s power level, but the archetypes looking to utilize the card best. If we see the current Marvel SNAP meta, Wiccan on Tier D with a 48% winrate and +0.02 cube rate considering Rank 70 and above data since the latest Wiccan's release on August 13, 2024.

Final Thoughts

Is Wiccan worth your resources? Early Review analysis revolves around two dimensions, Wiccan's immediate power level and how strong its archetype is in the current Marvel SNAP meta on release.
Raw data shows Wiccan lacks consistency and impact and it won't shift Marvel SNAP’s meta in any meaningful way. On an archetype level, the Wiccan Archetype is sitting at Tier D since its release.

What do you think? Is Wiccan secretly the next meta breaker? Will the upcoming releases bring enough support for Wiccan to make the archetype a powerhouse?
