With no further ado, the Spotlight Caches for Marvel SNAP’s August season.

Aug 06 - Aug 13

Marvel Boy (Series 5)
notion image
Marvel Boy — After each turn, give 3 of your 1-Cost cards +1 Power.
Red Hulk (Series 5)
notion image
Red Hulk — When your opponent ends a turn with unspent Energy, +3 Power. (if in hand or in play)
Blob (Series 5)
notion image
BlobOn Reveal: Merge cards from your deck into this until it gains 13 or more Power.
Going over this first Spotlight Cache, we see in Marvel Boy a good fit for Zoo/Swarm-type decks. While SNAP’s devs recently nerfed Blob and Red Hulk, these cards have been staples in various archetypes, so it's a great catch-up opportunity if you don’t own them. That being said, they are also easily replaceable so if you ar running low on Keys you don’t necessarily need to fish for them.
This will be the first week of the August Marvel SNAP season, so in addition to the featured Spotlight Cache cards, players can get Hawkeye Kate Bishop by buying the Season Pass. Kate Bishop, with her unique Arrow mechanic, is a card that checks all the boxes a Marvel SNAP Season Pass card needs to be a great hit. Check out the Dev update to see the different Arrows’ effects.

Aug 13 - Aug 20

Wiccan (Series 5)
notion image
WiccanOn Reveal: If you've spent all your Energy this game, +2 Max Energy.

Pixie (Series 5)
notion image
PixieOn Reveal: Shuffle the base Costs of all cards in your deck that started there.
Loki (Series 5)
notion image
LokiOn Reveal: Replace your deck with your opponent's starting deck. Give them -1 Cost and draw a card.
In this second Spotlight Cache week we find Wiccan, an interesting build-around card with a powerful payoff, joined by Pixie and Loki. All these have distinct playstyles, providing deckbuilding challenges and introducing variety into your games. So regardless of powerlevel, this seems like a fun week!

Aug 20 - Aug 27

Speed (Series 5)
notion image
SpeedOngoing: +1 Power for each turn in which you spent all your Energy.
Iron Lad (Series 5)
notion image
Iron LadOn Reveal: Copy the text of your deck's top card.
Jeff (Series 5)
notion image
Jeff — You can move this once. Nothing can stop you from moving or playing this to any location.
This week might be the most interesting Spotlight Cache week in this Marvel SNAP season, even though none of the cards are extra flashy. Speed seems like a card that will see play and there are countless decks you can fill in with Iron Lad or Jeff.

Aug 27 - Sep 03

Emperor Hulking (Series 5)
notion image
Emperor Hulking — At the start of the game, copy the text of a random 6-Cost card.

Cannonball (Series 5)
notion image
CannonballOn Reveal: Move the highest-Power enemy card here away. If you can't, destroy it with a Rock.
Nimrod (Series 4)
notion image
Nimrod — When this is destroyed, add a copy to each other location.
Young Avengers Spotlight Cache season ends at a low. Hulking adds some randomness and can be fun, but why copy the text of a card you could directly include in your deck? Furthermore, neither Cannonball or Nimrod seem like interesting picks, with the added downside that Nimrod is the only Series 4 card of this season.
These are all the Spotlight Caches for the Young Avengers August Marvel SNAP season.
