Welcome to the Untapped.gg Marvel SNAP Meta Report (Ranked) for the week of October 25, 2024. The Meta Report is a weekly article series where we review the best decks and strategies in the top ranks of Marvel SNAP.

Marvel SNAP Tier List

Agent Venom is still terrorizing the Marvel SNAP meta, as detailed in our Meta Tyrant: Agent Venom article, lifting a number of top decks to new heights, including the titular Agent Venom Archetype and Bounce Archetype. With Toxin's release, all eyes are on Bounce, even with Cosmo's play rate skyrocketing at Rank 70 and above. While decks that use and attempt to avoid Cosmo duke it out, another deck has crept into the spotlight - one that doesn't mind Cosmo and preys on a meta without Ongoing counters: the Tribunal Archetype. One of Tribunal's pressure points has been the fragility of Limbo, but with yesterday's Marvel SNAP OTA Balance Update — October 24, 2024 huge nerf to Storm, Tribunal has one less hazard to worry about.
Currently, the Tier List shows the Tribunal Archetype and Agent Venom Archetype pushing Bounce Archetype out of Tier A at Rank 70 and above. Although Tribunal has a much lower winrate at 51.0%, the deck makes up for it with a high +0.38 average cube rate. Unfortunately, Bounce has a target on its back since Toxin's release, as it makes up for 7.5% of the meta. Currently, the Tribunal Archetype has a 1.4% popularity rate, so you're still more likely to run into the Discard Archetype (8.9%), Bounce Archetype (5.2%) and Destroy Archetype on ladder.

TIER A DECKS

Looking a bit deeper at the data, we can see the best Tribunal decks are utilizing Mister Negative to flip some important cards, including Iron Man, Mystique and even Sera to get it out on Turn 4. Three of the most commonly played cards are present in 100% of Tribunal decks, including Iron Man, Onslaught and Living Tribunal. The most popular Tribunal deck sports a lower 49.3% winrate, but higher +0.39 average cube rate than the archetype average at Rank 70 and above.

The Agent Venom Archetype is holding down the second place spot in Tier A. Four of its most commonly played cards, including Iron Man, Bast and Kitty Pryde, are present in just 75%% or more of Agent Venom decks, demonstrating that the deck composition is very flexible and its difficult to gauge which version you may be up against. The most popular Agent Venom deck sports a 59.6% winrate and +0.41 average cube rate, clocking it much higher than the archetype average.

Down in Tier B, we find the Arishem Archetype creeping back into the meta with a 55.9% winrate at Rank 70 and above, with the Bounce Archetype and Discard Archetype close behind. The decks' average cube rates are similar, but Arishem is the Tier B deck to beat.

TIER B DECKS

Arishem doesn't quite have the metrics to make it into Tier A, but Bounce is being held back by a thread. If counters die down even a bit, Bounce will break through into the top spot again. Post-OTA, with Agent Venom dodging nerfs, Bounce decks are just waiting for their moment. We'll be keeping an eye on Bounce, as we expect it to move into Tier A soon.
To have an edge in the Marvel SNAP meta, you must understand each and every tool both at your and your opponent's disposal. By studying the Card Tier List and checking the most popular cards each week, you'll have a better grasp on what to expect in any given match.

The top of the Card Tier List is dominated by cards from Agent Venom and Bounce decks at Rank 70 and above. We are in a Cosmo meta, though, with the tech card sitting at a 15.8% play rate - down from last week's 17.5%. Shang-Chi comes in even higher, sitting at the top of Tier B with a whopping 21.6% play rate. Killmonger is also maintaining a high play rate at 18.1%. It is a tech-filled meta and you should consider adjust your game plan or even deck choice if you're particularly susceptible to these cards.
This doesn’t mean that affected decks become unplayable, your opponent still needs to draw these cards and find the right time to play them to generate impact. Just keep in mind the possibility of them coming down on a pivotal turn and you could elevate your performance by a significant margin.
Next week Anti-Venom drops alongside Supergiant and Ghost-Spider. Be prepared to face players experimenting, as we see a spike in popularity on spotlight cache days.
