SCREAM – In Space, No One Can Hear You…

Scream joins Marvel SNAP as part of the We Are Venom Season. It is a 2-Cost, 2-Power card with the ability: When an enemy card moves, steal 2 Power from it. (once per turn). Its Affliction effect resembles other cards you might be familiar with such as Hazmat, Kingpin and Silver Sable.
Arriving just in time to address all the cards added to the Move Archetype in the last season, Scream serves as a global Kingpin of sorts, albeit with a once per turn limit. Despite a heavy amount of support in the likes of Araña and Madame Web, however, Move hasn't been performing too well, with a +0.09 average cube rate and 51.2% winrate. Alas, Scream is here to answer a problem the meta just doesn't have. A smaller Move package in the form of Ghost-Spider and Dagger are occasionally added to other archetypes, such as the Clog Archetype and War Machine Archetype, but may not justify a meta-wide need to include Scream.
Scream will find a hard time finding a home outside a few decks focusing on moving your opponent's cards against their will. Cards like Juggernaut, Stegron and even Spider-Man may help Scream see play, but it will be tough to pull off consistently when compared to other Affliction-centric decks.

MAN-THING - Yes, He's from Florida

Man-Thing is currently in Tier B of our Card Tier List with a +0.15 average cube rate and 53.7% winrate while being played in 1.9% of decks at Rank 70 and above. Man-Thing is most commonly played in the Affliction Archetype, where it synergizes well with Hazmat, White Widow and Ajax.
Man-Thing shines best in a Zoo-meta, which we are still partially in as the Zoo Archetype is sitting at Tier B on our Meta Tier List at Rank 70 and above. Affliction has risen to Tier A because of its effectiveness against the majority of decks in the meta. Outside of Affliction, Man-Thing works well in an Ongoing deck, utilizing Jean Grey and Luke Cage to force opponent's into making suboptimal plays. It's recent buff to 7 Power solidified it as an all-around powerful card in terms of both stats and effect.

MOBIUS M. MOBIUS – No matter the cost

The final card in this week’s Spotlight Cache is Mobius M. Mobius, currently sitting in Tier C with a +0.08 average cube rate and 50.7% winrate at Rank 70 and above. Mobius is most commonly played in Control lists, where it synergies well with Shadow King, Shang-Chi and Sera.
Mobius is a must-have when energy cheat and discounts are running rampant. Unfortunately, we haven't had many decks relying on either for some time now and there are multiple ways to get ahead on energy, rather than discounting cards. On top of it all, with Loki's disappearance, Mobius' usefulness has almost completely eroded.

Spotlight Variants

Each week, there's a chance you open exclusive Spotlight Cache Variants for the featured cards. These variants only appear once you own all three featured cards, so you’ll need plenty of Spotlight Keys if you want one. Spotlight Cache exclusive variants will not be available in-game again until one full year has passed following their release.

The featured artist for the We Are Venom Season is Pandart Studio, so we should expect all Spotlight Variants for new cards, such as Scream, to get Pandart Studio depictions. Man-Thing receives a portrayal by Todd Nauck and Mobius receives a new variant from Jon Lam.

Final Thoughts

This week’s Spotlight Caches are situational tools great to swap in and out depending on the state of the meta. Two of the cards, however, are Series 4, which is tough to recommend using Spotlight Keys on. With Mobius currently in Tier C and a projected weak standing of Scream, it's even harder to open this week, even if you're missing Man-Thing.
Remember to consider the upcoming Spotlight Caches. Next week we’ll see Misery, Namora and War Machine - a great week for those missing out on a few meta decks.
