We’ll be ranking Agent Venom based on the following set of parameters:
  • We’ll be looking at Agent Venom’s performance at the Rank 70 and above
  • We’ll be considering Agent Venom’s overall win percentage in these ranks, but also its average cubes and popularity
  • Finally, we'll look at which archetypes Agent Venom best fits into and how the card performs in the current meta
Our Card Tier List are based on the Average Cubes and Popularity of a card when compared to all other cards in Marvel SNAP.

The Raw Data

Agent Venom has a +0.88 average cube rate at Rank 70 and above, sitting it comfortably at the top of Tier B on the Card Tier Rankings just below Shang-Chi. The card's high winrate, 60.2%, demonstrates that despite being the most used card in the game at Rank 70 and above with a 25.8% play rate, it's still putting out great numbers. For now, we'll be watching to see if these numbers increase as player experimentation wanes and its popularity begins to drop. Projections show Agent Venom's stats should rise even further, eventually settling around winrates and average cube rates of cards playing in a similar space, such as Mister Negative and Black Swan.
Remember that these stats will settle over time and this early review consists of 24 hours of data. Be sure to revisit the card stats on our Card Tier List to see where Agent Venom lands in terms of power level and popularity.

Agent Venom’s Best Decks

With thousands of games already logged by the Untapped Companion at Rank 70 and above since Agent Venom's release, we have good picture of which decks are working for the latest Season Pass card and which are not. Here are the best-performing options:
The standout amongst these archetypes is one that benefits from buffing early, low-cost cards fast and often: the Bounce Archetype, the most popular version reigning supreme with an incredible +1.23 average cube rate and 68.6% winrate, higher than the archetype average. The deck plays cards like Rocket Raccoon, Falcon and Hit-Monkey, which when combined with the new Agent Venom, allow you to play a high amount of cards in a single turn to surprise opponents. Don’t worry if you are missing any of the cards listed, you can always find a deck tailored to your collection on our Marvel SNAP Decks page.
The other top performer is a variation of the popular Thena Archetype, utilizing an established shell to utilize Agent Venom's ability to buff an entire deck of cards below 4 Power. Getting Agent Venom out early is often enough to seal the deal by Turn 2.
We also need to not only analyze Agent Venom's individual power level, but also the archetypes utilizing the card best. If we look at the current Marvel SNAP meta, the Bounce Archetype, is sitting in Tier A with a 62.9% winrate and +1.10 average cube rate using data since the card's release on October 1, 2024 at Rank 70 and above. The most popular deck, however, clocks a bit higher, as detailed above.

Final Thoughts

Is Agent Venom worth picking up? Early Review analysis revolves around two dimensions, the card's immediate power level and how strong its archetype is in the current Marvel SNAP meta within its release window.
Raw data shows Agent Venom is putting out great metrics while being the most used card at Rank 70 and above - a tough balance to hold. As popularity and player experimentation begins to drop, these numbers should only get better, as experienced players move the card metrics higher. On an archetype level, the Bounce Archetype is sitting in Tier A since the card's release.
