Marvel SNAP Conquest Mode
Conquest is an alternative game mode that seeks to offer a more competitive experience than the ladder. Conquest is unlocked after finishing the Recruit Season. To play conquest, rack up consecutive wins against other players and advance through the tiers: Proving Grounds, Silver, Gold, and the final challenge, Infinity. With each victory, you'll earn medals for the shop and tickets for higher Conquest tiers. Here's a full rewards breakdown of each tier:
Conquest doesn't affect your rank on the ladder, it is completely separate. It can be accessed after finishing the Recruit Season by going to the "Game Modes" tab.
Battle Mode
Conquest uses Battle Mode as its format. Two opponents face against each other with 10 starting health and use the stakes to deal damage to each other. You can read more about the rules here: Marvel SNAP Friendly Battles
Conquest Tiers
To get started in conquest, players must first face the Proving Grounds. One win in this tier will reward a Silver ticket. In order to complete the Silver, Gold, and Infinity Conquest tiers, 2, 3, or 5 consecutive wins are required, depending on the tier. A single loss at any stage of a Conquest will end that Conquest run, using up the ticket and sending you back to the proving grounds if you don't have another ticket ready. You can also earn tickets by spending gold equivalent to a specific tier's entry fee, and Series 3 complete players will average one Gold ticket in every set of 9 Collector's Reserves.
Matchmaking
The level of opponents you face in each conquest depends on the tier. Earlier Conquest tiers have some Collection Level banding, with later tiers being more and more open, and Infinity Conquest having no CL banding at all. Additionally, the game prioritizes matching you against players with the same number of wins in your current tier. If matchmaking is taking too long, the game will loosen the number of wins required, but will never match you against players in other conquest tiers. You will also never be placed against a bot inside of the Gold and Infinity tiers.
Infinity Conquest
This is the final challenge for Conquest. Infinity Conquest is only open during the final week of each season, and players must win 5 battles in a row to finish the conquest. The reward for your hard work is an infinity-bordered version of the avatar you used to win. If you already have the infinity-bordered version of that avatar, the game will choose a random avatar from your collection to add the border to. The infinity border does not combine with the spotlight border, so using a spotlight-bordered avatar will award an avatar that only has the infinity border, not both.
Shop
As you play through the different tiers of Conquest, you'll earn medals for your match victories. These medals can be spent on various rewards in the medal shop. Most items available can only be purchased once.
Seasonal Variant
Each season, a Conquest-exclusive variant will be available. After you make any 9 purchases in the shop (even repeatable ones), you will be given this variant.
Season Reset
At the end of each season, conquest does a full reset. In addition to a fresh shop full of items to purchase, any unspent tickets will convert to their entry reward medal equivalent, and then all medals you earned that season will be converted to boosters at a rate of 8.35%, so be sure to use them up!
