Friendly Battles
What are Friendly Battles?
Friendly Battles are unlocked after a player finishes the Recruit Pass and can be found under the Game Modes tab in the menu below Conquest. They can be used to battle friends and are often used in tournaments to play other people. Friendly Battles aren't limited to region, meaning you can play people from anywhere around the world.
How do Friendly Battles Work?
To start a friendly battle, one player will "Create a match", which generates a 5-digit code that they will net to send to the other player. The other player can click "Join a match" and enter the 5-digit code.
Battle Mode Rules
Each player starts with 10 health, illustrated by the bar underneath the name tags. The loser of each game will lose health equal to the value of the cube. Throughout the match, both players keep the same deck they entered with, and cannot swap it midway through a match.
Similar to Ladder and Conquest, the number of cubes at stake in a single game cannot exceed 8; if a player has less than 8 health remaining the stakes cannot go higher than their life total.
Once it's the fifth round of the game, "High Stakes" will ensue, meaning that each game starts out worth 2 cubes instead of 1. If the cube value is equal to the value of the lowest health player (cube total reaches a maximum value), the cube will highlight this detail with the word "Max" underneath the cube. In high stakes, the value of the cube will be 2 even if a player has 1 health remaining
In Friendly Battles, your rank will not be affected, and there are no rewards for winning a match. Quests may not be completed in friendly battles. This also means that no boosters will be rewarded by a Friendly Battle.
