We’ll be ranking Madame Web based on the following set of parameters:
  • We’ll be looking at Madame Web’s performance at the Rank 70 and above
  • We’ll be considering Madame Web’s overall win percentage in these ranks, but also its average cubes and popularity
  • Finally, we'll look at which archetypes Madame Web best fits into and how the card performs in the current meta
Our Card Tier List are based on the Average Cubes and Popularity of a card when compared to all other cards in Marvel SNAP.

The Raw Data

Madame Web has a +0.01 average cube rate at Rank 70 and above, placing it right on the line of Tier D on the Card Tier Rankings. The card's low 48.2% winrate doesn't make the card look any better - the fact of the matter is the Move Archetype is susceptible to many factors, including draw, locations and tech; more so than other decks detailed in our latest Marvel SNAP Meta Report (Ranked) — September 10, 2024. Madame Web's best home may not be in Move, making her similar to the likes of Juggernaut, Aero and Magneto - cards that lean more towards utility than the archetype their ability places them in. We'll be watching to see if the card's performance numbers increase as player experimentation tapers off in the coming weeks and more refined lists come out. For now, Madame Web's metrics match the winrates and average cube rates of cards playing in a similar space, like Jean Grey and Storm.
Remember that these stats will settle over time and this early review consists of 24 hours of data. Be sure to revisit the card stats on our Card Tier List to see where Madame Web lands in terms of power level and popularity.

Madame Web's Best Decks

With thousands of games already logged by the Untapped Companion at Rank 70 and above since Madame Web's release, we have good idea of which decks are working for the latest Series 5 card and which are not. Here are the best-performing options:
While both are lackluster, the standout here is a variation of the Clog Archetype utilizing a move package and Madame Web to increase power output and protect your board. The deck has a respectable +0.31 average cube rate and 55.3% winrate, demonstrating our inclination is correct - Madame Web's best home may not be pure move. The deck often plays cards like Ghost Spider, Dagger and Cannonball, which culminate in explosive power with the right maneuvers. Don’t worry if you are missing any of the cards listed, you can always find a deck tailored to your collection on our Marvel SNAP Decks page.
The other top performer is a variation of the Tribunal Archetype, instead focusing on creating a huge Human Torch or Dagger as opposed to the classic Iron Man and Onslaught combo. What this means however, is you get the same glass cannon scenario, where you have your combo or you don't, and the low winrate reflects that.
We also need to not only analyze Madame Web's individual power level, but also the archetypes utilizing the card best. If we look at the current Marvel SNAP meta, the Move Archetype is sitting in Tier D with a 50.4% winrate and +0.13 average cube rate using data since the card's release on September 10, 2024 at Rank 70 and above. The most popular deck, however, comes in slightly lower, with a 50.5% winrate and +0.26 cube rate.

Final Thoughts

Is Madame Web worth your resources? Early Review analysis revolves around two dimensions, the card's immediate power level and how strong its archetype is in the current Marvel SNAP meta within its release window.
The raw data shows Madame Web is putting out poor numbers. As popularity lowers in the coming weeks, these metrics may increase as the card is played less for its ability and more for its utility. On an archetype level, the Move Archetype is sitting in Tier D since the card's release.
